Gustavo Rizerio
Gustavo Rizerio is a prominent tattoo artist living and working in New York City. Born and raised in Brazil, Gustavo began his career at the young age of 16 with a deep fascination for tattoo culture and the intricate history that surrounds the art form. Progressing quickly with a deep fervor to learn and grow, Gustavo began to entwine history, his native culture and experience into his designs. His career expanded internationally with four years spent abroad in Ireland followed by a return to Brazil and his opening of his first studio SkinLab. His growing success led to an invitation to Los Angeles’ House of Ink and eventually his travels brought Gustavo to New York City where he has spent the last 13 years working in the city’s top shops. He now takes up residency at Electric Anvil.
Gustavo’s current work can be viewed internationally through the physical evidence of his innumerable clients and the press that accompanies his ever-growing career as a top tattoo artist. He approaches each project as if it was a fresh canvas and carefully executes designs that praise not only the art form, but also its history.
